Located halfway between the Kendall Square and Lechmere T Stations, on Third St. at Charles St. in East Cambridge, we're close to the Royal Sonesta and Hotel Marlowe, the Galleria Mall, and the Middlesex County Courthouse, convenient to Interstate 93, the McGrath-O'Brien Highway (Rt. 28), Bunker Hill Community College and the Science Museum. Ours is a very walkable neighborhood due to a high police presence, but if you do drive, look for the blue and white awnings and park directly across Charles St. Street, parking at the metered spaces is free after 6PM. Please don't park in the lot behind Desfina because they'll tow your car!

Desfina is a great place to meet if you're going to a Bruins or Celtics game or to the fireworks displays over the Charles River Basin and Boston Harbor when traffic and parking is a problem. There is easy access for the handicapped using the ramp, and of course, don't forget to tip the waitresses!.

Kendall Square
Exiting Desfina, through the front entrance, turn left and walk for 10 minutes, past American Twine and Kendall Tank, to Life Sciences Square, across Binney St., all of 5 blocks to One Broadway. Across the street is the Marriott Hotel, at the intersection of Broadway and Main St. The Kendall Sq. T stop is across Main St. from the Marriott, and the Red Line runs from Quincy to Arlington via Central Sq., Harvard Sq., Davis Sq. to the Alewife Station at Rt. 2. The fare is $2 and trains run until about 1AM.

Middlesex County Courthouse and Registry of Deeds
Leaving Desfina by the front entrance, turn to the right and walk 2 blocks to the Courthouse, and 2 more blocks to Cambridge St., the Registry of Deeds is on your right. About a 5 minute walk overall.

CambridgeSide Galleria Mall
Go out the back entrance, turn to the right and walk down two blocks, about a 5 minutes, to First St. and the Best Buy store.

Lechmere T Station
Go out the back entrance and turn right, walk down two blocks to First St., take a left and it's 5 blocks to Cambridge St., the T station is across the street. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Green Line trains running to Science Park, North Station, Haymarket, Government Center, Park St., Kenmore Sq. and out to Forest Hills, Boston College, Newton and Rt. 95. The fare is $2 and the last train leaves at 12:30AM. Bus service runs until 1AM to the following destinations, and the fare is $1.50...

Royal Sonesta Hotel and Marlow Hotel
Go out the back entrance and look to the right for the Sonesta sign, it's a 7 minute walk down two blocks to First St. past the Mall, across Commercial Ave./Land Boulevard and into the lobby. For the Marlow Hotel, turn left at Commercial Ave. and walk a block more.

Holiday Inn Express
You can go up Third St. past the Courthouse and Registry of Deeds to McGrath-O'Brien Highway, turn left and then walk 4 blocks down to the hotel in about 15 minutes. Or you can take the #80, 87 or 88 bus from Lechmere Station, but why not call a cab instead?
